These terms apply to memberships bought through this website and to visits to the Vintage Camera Museum, 11 High Street, Carshalton, SM5 3AP (“the Museum”, “we”, “us”). By buying a membership you agree to these terms.
1. Memberships
- A membership entitles the named member to unlimited visits to the Museum during normal opening hours for the period of the plan purchased (for example seven days, one month or one year), plus access to the members’ area of this website.
- Memberships are personal to the named member and cannot be transferred, shared or resold.
- Each membership is a single payment for a fixed period. It does not renew automatically. You can buy a new membership at any time.
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any applicable VAT.
- Please bring photo identification or show your digital membership card in the members’ area on arrival. We may refuse entry where we cannot confirm a membership.
2. Cancellation and refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel a membership bought online within 14 days of purchase. If you have not visited the Museum during that time we will refund the full amount. If you have used your membership, we will refund the price less a proportionate amount for the days already elapsed. To cancel, email contact@carshaltonauction.co.uk with your name and the email address used at checkout. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days. After the 14-day period memberships are non-refundable except where required by law.
3. Opening hours and closures
Opening hours are shown on this website and may change at short notice, for example for bank holidays, private events or emergencies. Where the Museum is closed for an extended period during your membership we will extend it by the same period.
4. Visiting the Museum
- Exhibits are fragile and irreplaceable. Please do not touch exhibits unless invited to by a member of staff. Visitors are responsible for any damage they cause.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Photography for personal use is welcome. Commercial photography or filming requires our prior written permission.
- We may ask any visitor who behaves in a way that endangers exhibits, staff or other visitors to leave without refund.
5. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything done using your account. Please tell us straight away if you believe someone else has used it.
6. Website content
Photographs, text and other content on this website belong to the Museum or are used with permission. You may view and share links to the site, but you may not reproduce images for commercial purposes without our permission.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability to you in connection with a membership is limited to the price you paid for it.
8. General
